My Little Pipe Dream Come True

19th November 2011 By Urvashi Roe Leave a Comment

Have you ever had a little pipe dream about running your own restaurant? Or opening your own deli or tea shop?  I have these dreams every day in some way or another but I know now is not the right time for me and my young family to start on this path.  One day….

In the meantime, it would be nice to have a little pipe dream come true for a day maybe? Well thanks to Pipedream Restaurant I am going to be the ‘chef’ for a special afternoon tea on Saturday 4th February.

I’ve chosen a theme of citrus botanicals to ward off some of the winter colds that might be hanging around and then menu will look like this:

  • Lemon Rolls with Grilled Halloumi and Rocket
  • Rye and Caraway Bruschetta with Lime Guacamole
  • Orange Polenta Cake with Warm Cardamom Drizzle
  • Lemon Meringue Tart
  • Lime Fizz Cupcake
  • Citrus Macaroons

I hope you’ll join me on this special day.  You can book directly with Pipedream Restaurant.  There is no charge for children of primary school age or toddlers but please advise when booking.  They are obviously too little to eat all of the above but we’ll have some biscuits and mini cakes for them.

Thank you to my lovely sponsors at Comins Tea House and Womersley Foods.  We’ll be serving Comin’s beautiful tea and I’ll be using Womersley’s wonderful vinegars.  They’ve also kindly donated some superb gift packs that you could win on the day.

BOOK NOW!

Goodness, how exciting! I used to live immediately behind that place – I just checked out where it was on the map.

Lovely to see you have a chat on Friday. Keep up the good work!

Just booked a table. Can’t wait to tuck into these beauties!!! Is it reasonably child friendly and can I take Gaspard with us? Really looking forward to it: you’re going to be brilliant! x
